Welcome!
I Am so glad you’re here!
Therapy can be a helpful way to grow personally and improve your emotional health. It offers a safe space to talk about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Whether you are facing a major life change, ongoing or acute stress, or other personal challenges, therapy provides support that is individualized to your needs. This support is especially crucial for those dealing with grief and trauma, as these experiences can deeply impact emotional well-being.
In sessions, you will work with your therapist to better understand your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns. Through therapy, you can develop practical coping skills, improve communication, strengthen self-awareness, build resilience, and find healthier ways to respond to difficult experiences. Therapy does not erase grief, trauma, or other painful parts of life, but it can help you process those experiences and reduce the control they have over your life.
Therapy is an investment in yourself. It is time you intentionally set aside each week or every other week to focus on you. It gives you an opportunity to understand yourself more fully, set personal goals, work toward meaningful changes, and build skills that continue beyond the therapy room.
Taking care of your mental health is an important part of taking care of your overall well-being. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. That is part of what therapy is for.

Here’s a bit about me —
to help you decide if I’m the right fit for you:
I am an Idaho native, born and raised in the Treasure Valley. I grew up in a military family. My father served in two branches of the military, including the Navy and Air Force. Over the course of his career, his service included active duty, the National Guard, and the reserves before he retired at age 60. My brother is also an Army veteran. Growing up in this environment gave me firsthand insight into the values, demands, and sacrifices of military life.
My background in criminal justice and nearly a decade working as a juvenile corrections officer provide me unique insights into the complex systems and challenges faced by professionals who serve others every day. These experiences taught me a great deal about the pressures of working in high-stress environments. This is one reason I especially enjoy supporting adults who work in healthcare, emergency services, and other helping professions.
On a personal level, I’ve been married since the mid-'90s to an incredibly patient man. Together, we’ve (surprisingly) raised three children to adulthood, welcomed two bonus children into our family, and now delight in three and 3/4 grandchildren. We are also proud captives to an anxious dog, a velcro puppy, and an attachment-avoidant cat.
Thank you for considering this journey with me. I look forward to partnering with you on your path toward growth and recovery.
